Case Study - Go Lift UL5
Product: GoLift UL5 with stack chair forks
Type of Company: Performing Arts Theater
Application: Moving Stack Chairs
Challenges Resolved: The forces required to move stack chairs using traditional stack chair movers is excessive and difficult for workers of smaller stature and of limited strength. The GoLift has a power lift feature that eliminated risk of injury including shoulder strain, back, arm and neck injury.
This facility is very large and has many different activities each week. At many portable stack chairs are used. Several hundred chairs are moved around the facility regularly and that includes several floors in the building. An small elevator is available but space is limited.
A GoLift UL5 was selected as the best option for moving several hundred stack chairs each week. A special stack chair fork was designed that attached to the quick change mechanism on the GoLift. Now instead of inserting a manual stack chair mover under a stack of chair and tilting it back toward the user the stack is lifted using the powered lift on the GoLift. There is no risk of tipping the stack of chairs onto the worker and all lifting of the heavy stack of chairs is eliminated.
This organization continues to find other ways of using the GoLift and an adaptable lifting platform is planned so that traditional loads can be lifted and transported without all the heavy lifting.
